I agree with JohnJerk, it has a nice rumble sound. But, I think it's more like a bruvbm bruvbm bruvbm, more so than a "thuvnm thuvnm".
On the interstate it's barely audible, in fact no more than my original exhaust, driving around traffic it's more a bit more verbal. I quite often drive around with my windows cracked just so I can hear the nice sound. It crackles and pops, when down shifting. Just a real sporty sound. I've heard other cars with louder *stock exhausts.
As far as the added horse-power, I think it does add quite a bit for the first few days, until you get used to it, then you don't notice it anymore. But, I do find myself driving around a bit more aggresively just to hear the sound, probably not a good thing, but it sure sounds really super cool.
