yes, sounds like clutch slippage.
In third gear, while your foot is off the clutch, go full throttle and observe the rmps and speed. If it slips then, the clutch is no longer able to hold engine torque. Time for a new clutch.
If it does not slip, then this could be indicating your riding the clutch and applying power before the clutch is properly released. If that is the case, that technique will wear out a clutch very quickly. The life of a clutch is mostly dependant on the driver's technique.
Your '95 may be leaking oil from the engine rear seal by now. If you get the clutch work done, be sure to replace the engine rear seal! For some, the trany and clutch are pulled to replace the $16 seal and the clutch components are renewed at that time as the labor costs are already sunk. In many cases a perfectly good clutch is renewed.
