I am in the midst of this same operation (same problem as you). Same year/model as yours.
The next step is to take off the climate control housing cover. You first have to remove the fan control module (2 screws on the cover) and then about four more Torx screws for the cover itself. There are 4 - 6 clips that have to be snapped off. Then there's the antifrost switch on top of the housing that needs to be disconnected.
The whole process is a major pain in the ass. Everything is hard to get to because of the insulation. Once the cover comes off, there's a foam gasket between the cover and housing that you'll need to be careful not to rip. Even once you have this off, you would still have to remove the expansion valve to be able to pull out the evaporator.
I just replaced my expansion valve and receiver/dryer, and am trying to recharge the A/C before I start diagnosing the evap condensation leak. Let me know what your progress is...
