Yes, you can get rotors for less that $40 US each, and they are quite easy to install. search for drs<underscore>install and you will find detailed DIYs for front and rear rotors. This kind of work is well within the means of any DIY inclined person. The savings are very good, and most will find the exercise a rewarding experience. Note that you can also clean, inspect and lube the parking brake shoe mechanism and will be doing some PM preventative maintenance to avoid having the p-brake dragging and then costing a lot of money down the road. The dealers are not likely to do this. You can also grease the rear caliper surfaces and hardware as I suggest as a rust preventative to avoid other nasty problems. So you will be better off doing the work yourself for many reasons. Read the posts and note the critical go/nogo items. If you can't get the screws out of the rotors that index the rotor to the hub, so that the holes in the rotor line up with the threads in the hub, then you can not proceed. So make sure that you get that screw free before unbolting calipers etc. Note also that if you are replacing the front pads, and have the rotor coming off to replace, you can replace the pads without removal of the slide bolts, after the caliper is unbolted from the strut. For the rears you want the caliper bolted down to drive out the pins. So remove the pads before removal of the caliper bolts, if the caliper is being unbolted.
