Some aftermarket shocks are better than the OEM shocks, some are worse. What you want depends on how you drive. If you want performance, you want stiff shocks. This will sacrifice ride quality. The holy grail of shocks on this board seems to be the Koni adjustables. You can adjust their stiffness for a sport ride or comfort ride. The best of both worlds. I have Bilstein HDs on my car that I put in a month ago. They are super stiff and I can feel every twitch on the roads in Halifax. I like them, but not everyone would. The luxury feel of the car has disappeared, but it handles better now than it ever has.
