I learned that you can use almost anything that will fit in the holes to get the stereo out. I used a small Phillips head screw driver and some small allen wrenches and was able to pull my stereo out. Whatever you use, as you push the tool in the hole you should feel a bit of resistance. Then just push it in a little farther and you'll feel the tab release from the cage around the stereo allowing the unit to be pulled out.
