The stock bass amp has its own din cord and a conector for the upgrade speakers. I just had my system upgraded and that's what I saw. I put in a Clarion 400w 4 channel amp and replaced the door speakers with 6 1/2 inch Alpines. I lost my fade, but in a Conv it didn't matter. The sound is just great. Good Luck, Linden
