Bob H., we v6'ers have to stick together, although I don't know exactly what your problem could be, it seems there has been a rash of idle/start/stalling problems recently reported on the V6's. See my posts, v6vert's posts, Deans posts and Anders posts from the last week or two on things to check/clean, including butterfly valve. Although your problem seems to be the opposite, hard start when -warm- engine, and poor acceleration (fuel filter? stuck butterfly valve?), while mine/others have reported hard start/idle when -cold- engine (clean IAC; possible fuel pressure regulator).
I've noticed that other posts on the V6's, including my own, seem to start with "I just added injector cleaner right before this problem started..." A trend? My hard start problem was there yesterday, just the tiniest littlest better this a.m. I'm on the first tank after adding my second techron treatment in a row, there may still be some in the tank. Replacing the FPR tonight if it shows up today, but could the problem be the techron itself? or could the Techron be causing the problem?
Anyone else notice a relationship between adding injector cleaner and fuel problems?
Keep us posted.
