The headbolt torque is quite different for the two.

4 cyl with old bolts
1st stage 60Nm 2.nd stage 80Nm and 3.d stage 90 degree. Oiled bolts

If you bought new bolts from the dealer the tightening torque is.
1st stage 40Nm. 2.nd stage 60Nm and 3.d stage 90 degree. No additional oil on bolts.

You start with the two center bolts and work your way out to the ends.

If I remember correctly from the V6 book it's
1.stage 25Nm 2.nd stage 90 degree. 3.d stage 90 degree and 4th stage 90 degree. And you start with the center bolts and work your way out to the edge just like the 4 cyl engine.

Try also Townsend's site, he have a lot of info about how to do things.
