I have recently purchased Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 tires for my 96 900SE and have been VERY pleased with them. $76 each from tirerack and I think shipping was < $25 because I live in NE also (Maryland) and Tirerack warehouse is in DE.
In my opinion, these tires are much better than the Gislaveds I had previously and as good as the Michelin Pilots that came on the car (and less than half the price!). I do not have any experience with the other tires you mention, but I once had Dunlops (on another car - different size/model tire) and was not impressed.
I have experienced little to no hydroplaning and they are directionally very stable (they don't follow contours in the road like the Pilots did). Also, they are very smooth riding but give excellent road feel and traction. They really start to 'talk' to you when pushed hard and its very progrssive near the limit, but otherwise are dead quiet.
I have put about 3,000 miles on them and have noticed no change in wear or noise. Only downside (and this is more the car's off-the-line habits than the tire) is they break away under even modest acceleration in the rain. I cannot imagine driving these on snow.
Best performance tire I've had and the price is great!
Let me know if I can answer other questions... Rob
