if I had a choice between a high mileage Audi vs. a high mileage Saab, I would pick the Saab as Audis are virtually impossible to DIY and will need lots of VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIRS. I can say this based on ownership of 3 Audis and 5 Saabs. I find that after 5 years or 50,000 miles, Audis are very expensive to maintain, like $500.00 every couple of months. With a Saab, you can go to about 100,000 miles, spend some money and go to about 175,000 miles then decide to put more money into it, let it go to hell or retire it. Saab repairs are predictable, Audis are not, and therefore are more likely to leave you stranded. My pockets are not deep enough to ever even coonsider owning an Audi over 100,000 miles.
Audis are great cars for the first 50,000 miles.
