IAC valve acting up again? Dean?

History:
After cleaning the IAC valve & throttle body, my morning idle issues were fixed. However, after a week of driving the idle drops returned so again I cleaned just the IAC valve with the carb cleaner. Things were fine for a week or so. This morning idle drops returned again.
Question:
Does this mean that the IAC valve is at a point where cleaning it is only a short temporary solution and therefore just be replaced with a new one?
I would hate to buy a new one from the dealer and still have problems. Any ideas on the cost of this valve?
Thanks,
Gabor
