And I couldn't by words describe the difference between the two last ones.
But one tell tale sign between the first and last is the tensioner pulley. The one that moves back and forth with the belt.
If that pulley have two supporting walls for the belt ( one inner and one outer ) it is at least the second to, or the last update.
Look at the middle idler pulley for comparison, which have had two supporting walls ever since the introduction of the V6.
The difference between the second to last update is in the thickness of the aluminum bracket that holds the two upper pulleys, and I can't describe where to look excactly because I always only compare to the tensioner kits we have in stock.
Did you work as a Saab mechanic? Otherwise, do you really want to do the belt on your own? It's kind of a handful without the special tool kit to hold the camshafts and belt in place. And to adjust the two idler pulleys so that both camshafts and crank is aligned properly.
