I just replaced my 86 9000 T 190,000 miles with a 94 900 S 140,000 miles - I would not own any other car than a Saab. These cars are so underrated for their ride, seats, interior space, fuel economy, engineering, performance and style. They are one of the best kept secrets in the auto industry. Hence a resale price alot less than over German or Japanize competition.
But make certain you get a very through inspection from a Saab expert before you commit to any purchase, because parts are pricely (just like the Germans and Japanize Brands - better parts). Most common replacement parts are available aftermarket for a much better price than the dealer.
The most important thing to do is to evaulate any car is to look at every square inch and DRIVE IT!!! Then run the Vin # at Saab USA and the local government agency to check history, accidents, ect. Then sleep on it. Then decide.
Good Luck!
