Painted non-braking surfaces of rear rotor

I recently replaced my rear rotors (Zimmerman) and pads (Pagid) as they were on thier way out. After about a month I had an ugly rust forming on all non-braking surfaces of the rotots. I bought some rustoleum 'aluminum' color brush on paint from home depot ($3). I tried to find a high heat paint, but I could only find black which I did not want to use. So, I just went for it. I sanded and cleaned all surfaces carefully before painting. It has been 2 weeks and I have no signs of flaking. The aluminum color is a great choice as it blends in very well. I also painted the calipers. I was careful not to get paint on any braking surfaces or in any areas on the caliper which could impact movement of the pads. It is such an improvement (not cheesy at all), I am going to do the fronts. Hoping the higher temps up front won't be a problem. Fingers crossed.
