Carrying a spare DI Cassette.

After having a series of problems from my DI cassette for a 96 SET, I got the feeling that the source that I originally had the car towed to had stuck me with a used DI Cassette. This guy loosely operates with my mechanic, who I have full confidence in. Several of the respomses that I got from this bulletin board suggested this. My mechanic had a DI cassette, which he would lend me until the other dude had another one to replace the previous one with and the car ran perfectly. Then the "new" one would be placed in and it would fail after a while. Most recently I had one that has run the car OK, but the Check Engine Light came on. I had the car checked with the scope and this registered problems I did not have. [ex] Running poorly with two cylinders. After this check the light has stayed out. In the mean time, I ordered my own fresh DI Cassette, which I have for a back up. I was wondering if I could carry it around in the car without damage and whether I might install this one and use the one this guy got me [possibly used] as a backup. Any suggestions.
