Noise and Funny Tire Wear on RE730s

Have a 97 900SET Coupe... Have had Bridgestone RE730 for about 15,000 miles. There is an issue with noise on the tires..they absolutely howl and I can't stand it anymore! Tirerack offered me a pro-rated discount on a set of brand new tires b/c this is a known issue. So when I went to examine my tire wear I noticed that about half the tread life is left BUT, I also discovered that the inner edges of the tires (and somewhat lesser degree on the outside edges) was severe feathering (i.e., alternating blocks on the tread are worn differently). The inner tread seems to be just fine. I'm pretty sure this is the source of the noise. I would think that the wearing on the edges is due to camber but the feathering is due to toe. I can't figure out if this is toe or camber wear or a combination of both. What do you think? The tires have been rotated twice and the alignment checked about 9 months ago. One more piece of info, I've replaced the suspension with B+Gs Springs and Konis before I got these tires last year. Could this have an effect? Just wanted to know if any of you have had similar wear on your tires.
