The driver's seat of my 96 900SE (97k miles) is really showing wear - especially on the left bolster. There is also a lot of cracking of the leather and the dye is gone in places.

(I bought and tried the Leatherique which, by the way, did a fantastic job but the driver seat is too far gone. Nonetheless, I recommend the Leatherique product.)

I am taking the car to an upholstery shop (recommended by my Saab dealer) tomorrow. What can I expect repairs/replacement to cost? Do I have options such as only replacing leather on the worn areas or am I looking at a whole new cover. I spoke with the guy at the shop and he also mentioned non-Saab leather that has good color and texture matching.

Any insights are welcome... Rob
