power boost question for n/a engines

I have been looking at low pressure boosters for cars that run about $900.00. They are electic and are suppose to provide about a 1 psi boost to the inlet air. This corresponds to about a 6 or 7% increase of air to the piston. I have been told that the N/A ecu will compensate this small increase of air with the appropriate amount of fuel based on the ecu's desired a/f ratio. The pressure boost is to small to cause any problems that I can see. Has anyone tried this on the ng 900s? This may give our sluggish engines just the boost we need to improve acceleration.
