BPC valve ass'y came off - can't screw back in. Help

I was installing my MBC and working on getting the vac lines on/off the BPC and the whole assembly came off of the support on the radiator.
The screws that hold it on look to only 'pressure fit' into a couple of rubber grommets on the support. I pressed it back in and it holds (not really tight, though). The screws seem to be pretty corroded.
Question: Should this screw in or is it just a pressure fit? If screw in, how to fix???
Thanks, in advance. Rob
PS: I have had it with the size of the Dawes hose barbs and the supplied vac line (both too small!!!). I suggest to anyone installing these to replace the supplied hose with standard Saab hose and use some thin walled tubing (like windshiled washer line - as suggested by SteveB) to make up the difference between the barb OD and Saab hose ID.
