I put MTL in my tranny and have had no problems. I believe (don't quote on this) that MT90 is a replacement for gear oil systems, i.e. RWD differentials, while MTL is generally used for transmisions.

As for location of plugs:
1. the fill plug is on top of the tranny, aft of the battery and forward of the abs pump and other brake components. I used a couple of long extensions to reach the plug. I also had to hently moved one or two of the hard brake lines out of the way to get access to the plug.

2. the level check plug and drain plug are on the outside of the tranny. The best way to access them is to remove the Lf wheel (AFTER SAFELY PUTTING THE FRONT OF THE CAR ON JACKSTANDS) and look for the plug with the allen key openings. The fill level plug is the one on top. Please, please, please remove this one and the fill plug on top before removing the drain plug. You DO NOT want to have the oil drained and not be able to put the new stuff in.

As for removing the plugs, I used an allen socket (8 mm I think) and a correct sized wrench to loosen the plug. I put the allen socket through the wrench and got them into position. I then used a screwdriver to push the socket into the plug opening to get solid engagement. If you get this far, you'll understand what I'm talking about. The engine subframe just doesn't have enough clearance to use a socket driver. The drain plug was threadlocked into place from the factory so I ended up getting a 19 mm wrench and engaging it with the 8 mm wrench to use as a cheater bar.

And yes, 2 quarts is enough. When I drained mine I put some regular dino oil in and drove around with that for a couple of months to flush the old gunk out. When I put the MTL in the regular oil looked good enough to use in the crankcase. Of course I didn't, but it still looked new.
