It is not difficult, but you need to turn the tires full lock to the right, then remove the plastic access pannel in the wheel well, 1 10mm hex and a 7or8mm, can't recall, and one more of the same under. Then you can get at everything if you don't mind reaching into tight dirty spaces. No need to jack anything up. It is a bit fussy and takes a bit of time, but not difficult, just not easy. Be sure to have a belt routing diagram or sketch one. There might be one in your owners manual.
So you can get the same old pully, and get the GM belt from the parts store, and get your mechanic to do the job. This will save money on the belt and save the cost and labor to replace the other pullie which is very hard to get at. So the savings in shop labour might be good too. Now you can get a replacement belt at most local parts stores and this seems to be a belt that they stock. Be sure to keep the old parts for emergency spares in with the spare tire. Depends if the old pully feels very scarey.
