That holds the two tubes to the heatercore, my suspicion is, that there is where the NG900 is leaking. The heatercore to me looks very sturdy in being built out of copper and soldered, ( compared to the 9K cores with plastic tanks)

But the connection of the tubes with 0-rings as a seal and a plastic clip that is suppose to hold the pipe to the core. Leaves a little bit to wish for.

After opening the plastic clip, look carefully how much of the pipe and o-ring that is actually inserted into the core. It's almost like the o-ring is visible at the very edge of the core fitting, maybe allowing coolant to seep by when the heat and cold cycles are doing the trick on the system.

The two plastic clips may also have a tendency to bulge a little bit allowing the pipe to move even closer out to the edge of core fitting.

I would try to pressurize the heatercore in some or another way and look for leaks. if nothing is found, put it back in with new o-rings and plastic clips.
