Before you spend any money on any new O2 sensors, you need to measure the resistance from from the OS sensor body (hex) to the ground terminal connector at the battery, not the battery post it self. This should be a fraction of an ohm. If more, you may be wasting hundreds of dollars and have the same problems with new sensors. Many of the earlier production years have the sensors grounds thru the gaskets, manifolds, piles and cat converters. If you have a 3 wire sensors, this is a definite issue. I think that 4 wire sensors provide their own ground independant of the exhaust system, it would be nice if Anders would confirm or refute this.
If the resistance is high, back out the sensor enought to get some sand paper in to brighen up contact faces, then reseat and measure again.
