What plugs, have you checked the gaps? Plugs look like? If in doubt, replace them as this is one of the least expensive things that you can do.
We have had a few issues like this that did not respond to the maintenance basics. Two or three turned out to be the fuel pressure regulators. One turned out to be a fuel filter, on a older not so high milage vehicle, which suggested that filters can time out with age, not just miles. The filter is cheap, so try that first. Then you can do the fuel pressure regulator after that.
Have you inspected and cleaned the ignition cables, cap, rotor and coil face? Best to do this when inspecting the plugs.
The fuel pump could also be a cause. But its quite young.
It seems that the ECU is so good at adapting to variations in sensors and fuel pressure, that low fuel pressure can be masked. The ECU seems like it might not be very good at starting with lower fuel pressure.
I assume that you have inspected the VAC likes very carefully. Splits at the hose barbs, and sometimes cracks at the end of the hose barb.
What oil are you using? I am thinking of cold cranking speed and battery cranking amps.
