Replace fuel pressure regulator to 4.0 bar

Hi,
Has anyone in addition to performance upgrades considered
changing the 3.0 bar FPR to a 4.0 bar FPR ?
1. Sometimes (and I mean sometimes) when driving in 3. gear at around 40 mph and I floor the gas it builds up pressure to around 1,2 bar but just as soon it drops to around 0,7 bar and stays there. This happens also in 4. gear. But it only happens sometimes, not always, it happens in cold weather and hot weater. I have temperatur gauge at the throttle body and inlet air is around 20 degrees celcius (outside temp. in Denmark is around 6 degrees celcius) Sometimes it keeps the pressure and the car accelerates like a rocket. Do you have any idea what can be wrong ? I took it to saab mechanic who said it was the red DI-box, and i borrowed a blue factory DI-box but with no change at all.
Another problem: When flooring it the car sometimes kind of 'judder' until I lift my right foot a little. Could that be fuel pressure cut out due to high pressure in intake manifold ?
900 Turbo S '95, 120.000 miles which is upgraded with:
BSR ECU, K&N Filter, Modified airbox, Inlet intercooler reducer removed, 17" wheels, EBC brakes, pressure gauge in cabin, lowered 20 mm, new bushings, painted bumpers etc.
Best regards
Erik
