Simon,
Could be one of a few things here....
1) Sounds like you and the above poster are entering it correctly. But some doofus may have tried the wrong code a few times before! BOOM! Radio is now "locked". So leave the ignition in the "acessory" position for an hour, uninterrupted, and try again.
2) Radio could be broken. Unlikely. I sell a lot of Saabs and have yet to see a bad radio... see a lot of bad knobs, but not a bad radio yet.
3) Radio could have been replaced at one point. In which case you need to pull the radio, get the serial # of the radio, and get a Saab dealer to give you the code. I have yet to see one charge for it. If they want to charge you, e-mail me the SN of the radio and I can get it for you.
However, above requires a radio removal tool... or 4 really long and thin nails or something.
But try #1 first... just park it somewhere secure while ya try it.
Good luck!
Bill
