The belts are a wear item, and the pullies all will fail. It is just a matter of time. The pullies are easily inspected and this should be done with belt inpections and replacements. Two belts will outlast the small upper idler pullie. If you have had the dealer doing vehicle maintenance, this should not have happened. They are very aware of how these things wear and the consequences if failure. Many pullies will get past 100K, but with your vehicle's age, that is a factor too!
So if the dealer was doing your maintenance, I would be holding them responsible for this outcome. Many here inspect these pullies themselves and replace proactively as preventative maintenance then put the old one in with the spare tire as an emergency spare. You need a spare or new DI on hand to. If you have the original, its 50:50 or worse for a DI failure in the next year.
