the V6 has other probs that could cause stumbling as well, including leaking valve cover gaskets into the spark plugs, and the spark plug wires could get oil soaked (a "classic" V6 problem). A visual inspection should rule that out , though, also the oil should burn off after the car gets warm. Does your problem last once the car is warmed up? the IAC is in a different place on the V6, its under the intake plenum toward the steering wheel. SOmeone posted a while back some good directions to clean the V6 IAC, refer to my earlier posts to backtrack to that post. Also, when I had a cold start, rough idle problem, the ultimate solution, for me anyway, was to start replacing various vacuum hoses, I did about 1/2 of them under the hood, now the car runs decent.
