I’ve just run into the same problem and have read dozens of posts on the site regarding a problem with a chip in the head unit. If a chip is the problem, why does it take 5 years for the problem to show up, shouldn’t the problem start on day 1. I can understand if there is wear and tear due to extreme heat or something like that, but it seems like from what I’ve read, it’s a programming problem with the chip recognizing the CDC. I don’t understand and am thouroughly annoyed. I am going to tinker around with it this weekend. Hopefully there will be some good karma coming my way for the weekend.
