Heck at 5mph, hitting a curb could in no way damage the frame of a Saab.
Last year, I had a similar experience on a rainy day. I pushed it into a
sharp turn at about 55 km/h and had it (golf 1.8l) had more power (I shifted down into second) and grip (worn tires) I could have managed my way. OK, so I had a broken control arm as a result as well as a broken rim and flat tire. It's not quite the cost of the repair that bothered me but the poor handling of the Golf. Shortly after, I rid myself of the Golf and have since had my beloved 9000T.
