DIN (Deutshe Industry Norm) just refers to a physical type of connector. They're usually round, and can have any number of pins in them. C-Bus is a system that Clarion uses to connect CD changers and head units. It uses a 13-pin DIN connector on both ends. Chances are, Clarion just designed the system to support some other features that the Saab stereo doesn't use, so they didn't bother to wire up a couple of pins in the cable. I'm sure your changer will be fine.
