Like you are considering, I just sold my BMW and bought my first Saab - a '96 turbo. The best advice I can give is to have a specialized Saab mechanic look the car over. I've also been hearing some warnings about the early (94-95) NG900's, though I'd wait to hear from some of those owners before rejecting the car. Try running some searches on the V6 engines - I think there are some reliability issues there as well. Not the most helpful reply, but I thought I'd chime in that I really enjoy the Saab - and I don't miss the BMW as much as I thought I would. I do miss the low-end grunt of the BMW straight six, but the Saab is fun to drive in its own way. Before committing to the V6, you might want to try to find a turbo to drive - they really are a kick in the pants. Good luck...
