Hey, thanks Bill. The estimate they gave me is for a new head gasket set and VC gasket, four new plugs, head pipe gasket, upper rad hose, lower rad hose, resevoir hose (also leaking a bit), t-stat and gasket, plus oil and filter and antifreeze, and lastly $80 to have the head planed and pressure tested. That, plus 9 hours labor, comes to $692.41. I did the pulleys in Oct, so they should be fine for now, but that's an excellent suggestion. The way I see it, I'm just going to go with this for now, as my tuition bill is also due, so the $ will be tight for a little bit.
Thanks for the suggestions, Bill. I'll update when I get the car back. Also, do you know if I need to drive it differently for a while. I'm sure the garage will know this, but I'm just wondering. I know when someone rebuilds an engine, you sometimes need to drive it to "break it in". Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jack K.
