possible cure (kind of long)

If just your rotors have been replaced then there is a possibility that they have not been bedded in properly. What happens when a new rotor is installed is the pads and rotors have to bed in together meaning a thin layer of friction material has to rub onto the new discs. The only proper way to do this properly is to heat them up to slightly above operating temperature several times with enough time in between stops to thouroghly cool down in between. During this time the brakes connot be left applied at a stop. Here's the best way to do so: Take the car up to about 50 mph or so on a lightly traveled road with no stoplights to make you stop and brake at about 90 percent of full on power(at the a.b.s. thresh hold or impending lockup) down to about 5 mph. Do this four or five times and then three or four times from about 85 mph. If the pads and rotors are not properly bedded in, an uneven layer of material can build up leading to a feel akin to warped discs. Hopefully yours aren't too uneven if this is the case and the above outlined procedure should cure it if this is the reason for your shudder. The reason this seems to be so common is that while modern disc brakes need to be bedded in aggressively, older drum brakes needed to be bedded in gently and gradually. This link has alot of really great information about this problem and many other things about other brake info. Hope I could be of some help and good luck with your problem.
