Get the oil on your finger tip and smell it, I think that you will find some tripping from the bottom of the bell housing, where there is a drain dimple.
If it smells like fuel, the engine crankshaft rear seal is leaking. You did not list your miles. They all start to leak by 100000 and can get very bad. Only way to fix is to pull the trany and flywheel. -expensive-
If it smells rotten and sulfery, its gear oil from a manual gear box. Again the trany comes out -expensive-
With a turbo, only use NGK BCPR6ES11's gapped at .035 to .039" Bosch plus turbo = trouble! Don't install trick or designer plugs!!!
A loose gas cap can cause a cel.
See the link, I did a search for p1171
You have two )2 sensors. You can get a sensor fault with a good sensor. The sensors' ground connections are through the exhaust pipe, turbo, manifold etc. You can check for resistance in the ground with a DMM - Digital Multi Meter. The sensors can be backed out a bit, contact faces cleaned up and re-seat them. These are expensive from dealers, see http://www.oxygensensors.com/ The resistance can also be at the 3 bolt connection to the turbo.
If you just purchase this thing, put some pressure on the seller.
87 Octane gas will work, but will not allow for full power perhaps. If you keep the Saab, get some Techron Concentrate to clean the injectors etc. Use better oil. Mobil One 10W30 will work well. Get the Purolator PureOne filter.
How many miles???
Trany???
Where are you located. Maybe you need a Saab vetran to help.
