Sorry about lack of info. 1996 900 SEt. 163k miles. On the left side, with front end up in the air, you can grab the wheel and shake it. The linkage that is loose (looking at the drivers/left side wheel) is at about 1 or 2:00 in relation to the wheel. Up high.
The brit Haynes manual that I have refers, on page 10-12, to the linkage as a "track rod end". On the websites I've looked at, EEuroparts, etc. it appears to be the same thing as a tierod end, but I wanted to make sure before I ordered.
Also, only left is loose - should i replace just L, or L&R?
