Good Day,
I am probably going to jinx myself, but I am a owner of a 96 900 SET, and I can say without a doubt I really love my car. I bought the car used and have put over 50k miles on it in the last year alone. I have had one major maintenance issue in the last year, and two minor but one turned to major because there are no Saab Dealers or indepenadants in Key West Florida. You think maintenance costs are high, try towing!!!!! Of course with less than 300 dealers nation wide it does make it tough to find parts and services in obscure places!!!!
Why yes it might not have the so called reliability of a Camry, but can you say a Camry is fun to drive each day? The key is to listen and watch, the car will tell you what is wrong if you listen, and take care of items before they get out of hand, the repairs normally are reasonable. Of course this board is a big help!!!!
A happy, quirky 1996 Saab 900 SET Owner!!!!!
