Even if the lower spring end is not seated properly, this will not effect camber directly, the strut still maintains its linearity. What happens is that the spring is then seated around 3/8" high, and this tips the vehicle to one side. That creates a roll steer, and yes that offsets the differential camber. But the geometry of the suspension links has not changed.

By jacking up the vehicle and letting the strut drop to its stop, you can reseat the spring by grabbing it. If that does not work, put, put a trolly jack under the hub and jack it up a bit. Now remove the strut top nut, and lower the hub allowing the strut shaft to drop through the upper mount. Watch for tension in the brake line and ABS sensor lead. With the opposite wheel on the ground the front sway bar is going to limit the travel too. With the load on the spring reduced, now move the spring to seat it properly. With gas shocks there is no problem with 'loosing' the strut shaft as you use the trolly jack to lift the suspension to get the shaft up to a bolting position. I don't know what years have or do not have gas pressurized OEM shocks. So as you remove the top strut shaft nut, remove the buffer washer and put the nut part way on and then push the nut down and see if it wants to come back on its own. So some judgement might be required. You will read things about the danger of removing the strut nut without a spring compressor. The above proceedure is safe, you use the weight of the vehicle on the spring to contain it. As you remove the top nut, you will feel that it is free of any load. If it is not, use the two jacks to get the nut free on any load before removing the nut substantially.
