I know your pain with the plugs. In frustration, I ended up lowering the car, sans wheel, on the allen key to put a half ton or so of torque on it. That broke it loose, but I don't suggest anyone try this (not only because it's stupid, but because it also jammed the key between the trans and subframe, another 2 hours of swearing there...)
It seems like the only legit way to get one of these 'welded' buggers out is to have it all the way up on a lift and use at least 2 or 3 feet of pipe to persuade it.
