Seat question - NOT about fixing the heater!!!

Hey all,
Last night, I had two teenage kids that I work with in the car to go ice skating. On the way back, the guy in the front tries to tilt the seatback backwards onto the other guys legs as a joke. In the process, he somehow breaks the seat so that the outside edge is lower than the inside edge, making the seat all crooked. The joints act real funny when I try to power the seatback back up. The inner joint starts to rotate outwards real strange like. The driver seat does not do this in comparison, as those joints are completely stationary. I'm hoping that he just unsnapped something. I've taken the seat out, and I'm letting it warm up in the basement (its pretty cold out today). Has anyone ever encountered this type of problem? If so, is this an easy fix? The seats are power leather from a `96 900 SET.
Thanks for any tips in advance!
