They probably don't know about it, its not Saab parts or part numbers. A few dealers do it, but that reduces their profits!
The later 9-3's run this way, same basic arrangement and block bytheway.
The lower pully can just be left there, not realy worth the expense of paying to get it out. It is a real PIA to get at. That lower pully does nothing but direct the belt there and back. It drives nothings and with no belt it will just sit there.
Search for drs<underscore>install and find a post from perhaps 7 months ago with details.
