Washer fluid/lines/pump/sensor question

Hello,
After replacing the check valve on wifes 1996 900SE for the headlight wipers, the low washer level issues a warning , even with fluid in it. Is the level sensor able to be cleaned? The drivers side windshield squirters are weak, pass. side fine. The headlight washers are too strong, so I am going to check the check valve, because I think the brass reducer is not in the new one. It also froze last weak due to me mixing water with concentrate (too much water) and it has been only in the 20's here. Any suggestions for tonights' adventures?
Thanks,
Kevin O
