The upper idler pully is attached to the spring loaded tensioner and is the same as the tensioner pully, those, one of the same are the upper idler pully! Hope that helps. We don't have a list of 'official names', but if you get familiar with the layout, you will not get confused by variations in terminology.
I did not come up with this idea BTW, someone had earlier posted that their mechanic did this for them. I don't recall if that was a dealer or indy, but it was someone who looked at the new production and got the idea to emulate that. Again, you can'y use the belt for the 9-3 vehicles with that configuration. It is to short. Some changes to idlers and pullies were also made on those 9-3's, so the Saab belt cannot be used on earlier production converted to that belt routing.
