The fuel filters should normally go well beyond 100K
If the fuel filter is restrictive, you would tend to find a wall from inadequate fuel delivery at pressure, such as the inabiltiy to go faster than 85 mph.
You can go to autozone and perhaps other places and have a free fault code readout.
If its the O2 senor, it might be ok, but have a bad ground via the exhaust pipe. There are two sensors for 96 and after. You can measure the ground resistance from the sensor body to a good ground point or to the batery negative CONNECTOR. You will need a good quality DMM/DVM to get good readings. If high, see if the pipe to manfold or manifold to block areas are the source of resistance. If at the sensor base, back up a little bit, brighten up and reseat. But running separate ground wires to the bases and securing with SS gear clamps might work well. The 3 wire design using the exhaust for a signal ground really sux.
