How many people have had this done? It's been recommended as an upgrade from Saab, and I wonder if the 95+ models already have it.
I just can't see an extra $750 for this on top of the clutch (something's loose inside), timing & serpentine belts, major service, and water pump (a small host of problems, possibly shaken loose by the wife's goodly front end accident). I guess neither of the Boulder shops knew Saabs very well, and so we'll not be seeing them again (and I hate dealers).
It's recommended with the V6 and mountain driving us Denverite skiers will be doing with it. Any take on how not doing it will affect the safety of the car? I suppose this is too much $$ for an auction'd car (i.e., as much as we paid for it), but we've already fallen in love with it, and it matches our needs (me: safety & features, hers: performance & style) sooo well.
It's not like shaft seals that are best done with the engine apart either, so I suppose I can do this later...
thanks,
