Appreciate the advice on this board

I replaced the rear pads on my 95 900 SET today (nice sunny afternoon on Toronto).
After popping the wheels off and seeing the rust on the calipers I groaned, but proceeded. I PBlasted various bits and gave it 5 seconds.
I jammped a screwdriver under the tension spring and ripped it out (new ones waiting...).
With this out of the way, I was able to clamp my BIG vice grip onto the pins and get them turning. This makes a nice beginning to actually driving them out. I won't be using that centrepunch for any finishing nails soon... but the pins came out.
Then, the VG was used to pull the old pads. Honestly, the weren't gone, but I had the time and the sunshine, so why not.
I cleaned out the crevices (the right side pads needed a bit more influence to come out), test fitted the pads and then greased them up with anti-seize and slid them in. Grease 1 pin and tap it in. Slide in the new spring, slide in the second pin and tap it in. All is well with the world.
Finished the other side, re-installed the wheels, centre caps, removed wheel blocks, jack posts and lowered the car.
I haven't turned a wrench on this car in a while and it felt good, especially to get this potentially problematic job done in an hour!
Cheers all,
Paul N.
