RT - I replaced the stock dash speakers with Infinity 32.5cf (for about $25 delivered from eBay). It was VERY easy to do. And, there is a VERY noticeable difference in sound.
You can remove the black speaker cover by prying it up from the windshield side. Remove a few torx screws and lift out the old speakers (they are top mount).
You do have to install connectors as the stock Saab speakers have a funky connector. To do this, just pick up some female crimp connectors from any hardware store (might want to have replacement speakers first so you know what size you'll need). Once the speaker is removed just cut the wires very close to the connector, strip and crimp on the new connectors. Make sure that the polarity match left and right (you don't have to worry if + is really going to + as long as it is the same way on both left and right). As I remember, the Saab connector fits in only one way so you can use that as a guide to determining which wire strand goes to which connector and I think either the connector or the Saab speaker itself is marked in some way.
The whole job took about 1/2 hour.
