Rear defroster connector is disconnected

My rear defroster doesn't work and it is pretty clear why. The driver's side connector to the grid on the window is disconnected. I have tried to solder this back on which worked but it has since let go again. This has proved to be a great pain with the winter we have been having in the NE. I use to be ok at soldering but that was back in college (10 years ago) so it could just be a bad solder job and the fact that it is a hard to reach area with the top up. I was just wondering if anyone know any other longer lasting ways to keep this connected. I really don’t want to tape this back on but it might be the best for the short term, until the temp is above freezing for a few weeks so I don’t crack the top when putting it down.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JG
