and a dealer charged me about a hundred bucks back in 1988...but that was 15 years ago...hmm...adjust for inflation and...get a second mortgage?
Seriously, some have DIYed this...check the archives. I dont think it will be too expensive.
You shoulda' seen the guy at the frame shop this morning when I dropped the BEAST off. The wheel and tire are fine, the frame has an upwards bend in the center of rocker panel that protrudes up about an inch that binds the door on the bottom, my wheel base is shorter on the drivers side than the passenger side. There is also a wrinkle in the sheetmetal that runs under my floor mat at a diagonal. If it costs more than a couple hundred dollars to fix it I am through with this thing.
This is a crumple zone they do not advertise. I will try and post a picture of this as soon as I can get one. Wanna buy it for parts, Mike? It has a good ignition switch.
